BREAKING: Kisoro Priest arrested for defying presidential directive on church services

KISORO- Security Personnel have today morning picked Mutolere Dean, Rev Fr John Bazimenyera for allegedly defying President Yoweri Museveni directive on following Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of Coronovirus Pandemic.

As we write this Rev Fr Bazimenyera is currently being questioned at Kisoro Police Station where he was taken make a statement.

Preliminary information obtained by this Online Publication indicate that Fr Bazimenyera was picked after being found leading a short Mass at Gisoro Catholic parish in Kisoro District.

It’s said that after his arrest Fr Bazimenyera said that when he arrived at the Church from Voice of Muhabura studios for morning prayers, he met a group of people who requested for prayers.

“I met a group of people who requested for prayers and they were few so I opened one entrance and held prayers for the about 40 people” Fr Bazimenyera said.

However the Security team monitoring the observance of President Museveni directive in Kisoro District led by the 35th batallion Commander Lt Col Nelson Bataringaya arrived midway and stopped the prayers before Holly Communion was given and took with them the Priest.

The Priest was accused of not following guidelines which could be a disaster for the entire population in KisoroDistrict.
