NTUNGAMO- The Ntungamo Deputy Resident district commissioner Mr Isaiah Kanyamahane says the office of RDC has been overwhelmed by a number of people seeking permission to travel for medication with the number being increased by mothers seeking to travel to give birth at different health centers.

Mr Kanyamahane says an average of 50 pregnant mothers are cleared daily to travel on emergency to give birth at various health centers with cars an issue they did not anticipated in the beginning.

The deputy RDC notes that there are still growing numbers of people flocking to the office for clearance with some however not having clear destinations.

He cautioned the public against misusing the permissions given by security.

Several people flock the RDC offices every day to be cleared to use cars for movement.

The development comes just days after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni directed the immediate ban on both public and private means of transport in a bid to stem the spread of COVID-19 in the country.Kanyamahane says most of the people seeking movement are going for burials of loved ones and for medical care.
