MITOOMA- The mitooma district covid-19 task force has received a brand new ambulance given to them by the Ruhinda Member of Parliament Hon Capt. Dononzio Kahonda.
The ambulance was handed over to the district TaskForce today Thursday 14th May 2020 at the district headquarters.
Talking to press shortly after the function, Hon. Captain Dononzio Mugabe Kahonda said that as a concerned leader he could not sit and see people suffer especially the expectant mothers who have been suffering due to the current National lockdown.
Kahonda offered to fuel the ambulance so that this can ease the transportation of expectant mothers to the Health facilities.
The ambulance raises their total number at Mitooma district to three including the two which have already been in service.
One of them was donated by the Ruhinda North MP Hon Tom Tayebwa and the third one belongs to the Ministry of Health for all Health Centre iii’s across the country.
Hon Kahonda also handed over to the Mitooma Coronavirus TaskForce the Ugx 20 million which was given to them by parliament and later ordered by court to return the money
Among other items the MP donated to the task force were 80 jerry cans of liquid soap, gloves, face masks, Blood Pressure Machines and others
The Mitooma RDC Ada Nasiima who is also the chairperson coronavirus TaskForce applauded the Member of Parliament for his continuous support towards the people of Mitooma.
The dignitaries present on the function were the Mitooma District Woman MP Hon Jovah Kamateeka, Acting District Chairperson Mr Sylvester, DHO Robert Gumisiriza, CAO, DPC and other TaskForce members.
